In order to evaluate the pilot work that was carried out in the Scottish Patient Safety Programme-Reducing Pressure Ulcers in Care Homes Improvement Programme (SPSP-RPUCH) we commissioned a group of researchers to visit a selection of participating care homes from different HSCPs.
The resulting case studies can be downloaded below for your information. The case studies reflect their experience in the pilot programme, the improvement steps they took and highlights some of the tools they tested/developed. These tools can be found on the resources page of this website.
Special thanks and appreciation is given to the three individual care homes that participated in these case studies:
- Abbey Gardens, Dumfries [Dumfries & Galloway HSCP]
- Canniesburn, Bearsden [East Dunbartonshire HSCP]
- Catmoor House, Scone [Perth & Kinross HSCP]Case Studies
Participating partnerships were also asked to create a poster of their improvement journeys as a means of sharing the learning from the programme.
