Below you will find a list of resources that were tested and developed by the five HSCPs that took part in the Scottish Patient Safety Programme-Reducing Pressure Ulcers in Care Homes Improvement Programme (SPSP-RPUCH). These resources are free to share and exceptional thanks is given to the teams of:

  • Argyll and Bute
  • Dumfries and Galloway
  • East Dunbartonshire
  • Highland
  • Perth and Kinross

for helping to develop these tools and resources, for all their hard work and for sharing the resources freely.

N.B Healthcare Improvement Scotland and the Care Inspectorate have not developed these documents. HSCP and NHS board logos have been removed from the documents to promote ease of sharing, but ownership and recognition can be found in the footnote of each document, should you wish to contact the developing team(s) for further information.

The teams decided that the resources developed fit well into three main categories; RECOGNISING, REPORTING and RESPONDING to pressure ulcers and so they have been grouped in these categories for your easy reference.
